SUDDEN DEATH.—About 5 1/2 o'clock Friday evening, Andrew Ingersoll, father of Mrs. George Duncan, of Wright's He, died suddenly, the supposed cause of his death being heart disease.
Mr. Ingersoll had been carrying water from the well to the office, and just emptied his bucket when ho fell he floor. Nobody was in the office at time, but Mrs. Duncan heard the fall ran to learn the cause. She found father in the embrace of death.
The funeral took place Sunday from the Methodist church. Rev. Jones officiating, The interment was in the Le Mars cemetery.
Mr. Ingersoll was born in Duchess County, New York, in 1800, and had but recently completed his seventy-ninth year. About six years ago he removed to this county. He was a kind husband and father, a good citizen, an upright, conscientious man; for nearly four score yours he had traveled the thorny path of life, and he has now gone to receive the reward that is promised the pure in life.
Mr. Ingersoll leaves a widow and one daughter in this place.
