Frank T. Rolfes, 68, a longtime Akron farmer died Tuesday, January 29,1974 at a Sioux City hospital after an illness of three-years. He had been a patient at the hospital for about a week.

He was born Nov. 19, 1905, a son of Frank H. and Mary Meinen Rolfes in Le Mars. His marriage to Ida Dreckman took place Jan. 20,1926 in Le Mars. The couple farmed near Le Mars and Merrill before moving to Akron in 1951.

Survivors are six sons, Virgil, Lake Park, la.; C. J. Rolfes, Alcester, S. D. Robert, Bayard; LeRoy, Benson, Ariz.; Eugene, Mapleton and Stanley, Akron; four daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Ruth) Phelps, Oxford, Ohio; Mrs. Larry (Paula) Winker, Baca Raton, Fla.; Mrs. Dallas (Clarice) Wilken, Akron and Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Christensen, of Lost Nation, la.; and one sister Mrs. Leo Langel of Le Mars. There are 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters and two sons, Isidore and Daniel.
