Mrs. Lawrence Ostermyer

Mrs. Lawrence (Phyllis) Ostermyer, 60, Akron, died Friday (Nov. 18; 1983) in the Akron city hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Schroeder funeral home in Akron. Rev. Elmer Hodge officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery in Akron. Pallbearers were Mark Ostermyer, Patrick Ostermyer, Matthew Popken, Cary Foss, James Ansel, and Tracy Popken.

Mrs. Ostermyer, the former Phyllis Florene Wolken, was born Nov. 4, 1923. in Lebanon, Mo. She married Lawrence Ostermyer in 1940 in South Sioux City, Neb. They lived in the Anthon, Chatsworth areas and in California before moving to Akron in 1967.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence, Akron; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Van Whye of Akron; Mrs. Thomas (Sharon) Popken of Le Mars and Mrs. Donald (Deana) Foss of Hasting, Minn.; two sons, Lprmie Ostermyer and Raymbnd Lyle Ostermyer, both at Akron her mother, Mrs. Zora Wolken of Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Rett Sardine, Grass Valley, Calif.; one brother, Joe, Sacramento; 19. grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
