Mrs. Forrest Kennedy, 70, of Akron died March 14 at the Akron hospital after a long illness. Services were at 2 p.m. March 18 in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Gary Jensen officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery was under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home at Hawarden.

Mrs. Kennedy, the former Irma Ford, was born Aug. 15, 1903 in Indiana. She was married on Sept. 29, 1923 in Greenville, Ky. They moved to the Hawarden and Akron area in 1924. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hawarden.

Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Loree) Sogn of Hudson, S.D.: a son, William E. of El Paso, Tex.; two brothers, Harold Ford of Central City, Ky. and Murray Ford of Covina, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Horace Penrod of Detroit, Mich.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
