Funeral services were held in St. Paul’s Evangelical church, conducted by the Rev. Paul Wuebben, Monday afternoon for Miss Anna Harms, a resident here for many years, who died at her home in Los Angeles Thursday at the age of 46 years. Miss Harms spent her childhood and a number of years of her adult life in Remsen, attending the local high school. She was a daughter for the late Mr. and Mrs. M. Harms, pioneer in this territory. Her mother died several years ago. Seven years ago Miss Anna moved to California. She is survived by five sisters. Miss Harms is well remembered by her old schoolmates and others as a woman of admirable traits of character. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, July 21, 1936, page 2.
