John W. Clark, 86, well know Akron man died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. H. Cummins, northwest of Akron, Thursday morning.

Mr. Clark was born in Perry County, Ind. on April 20, 1856, and had resided in Akron for the last thirty-one years. His wife preceded him in death nine years ago.

Surviving are two daughters and one son, H. Cummins of Akron, Mrs. J. L. Parr of Massillon, O, and W. Russell Clark of Akron; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Clark was a member of Freedom Lodge 434 A.F. & A.M.

The funeral was held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock followed by services in the Baptist Church. Masonic rites were conducted at the grave side and interment made in Riverside Cemetery.
