Services Are Set For Norman Haack Killed in England.
Funeral services for Norman Haack of Remsen, 21, who was killed July 18 in England, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 1:30 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran church in Remsen. The Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate at the services. Military graveside services will be conducted in the Remsen cemetery.
The body arrived Monday noon in Remsen and will be at the Moeller funeral home until time of services.
Norman Haack, airman second class serving in the Airforce, died a few hours after a motorcycle accident in the Horton General hospital at Banbury, Oxon, England.
He was born in Remsen, Dec. 12, 1930, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Haack. He was graduated from the Remsen high school in 1948 and until his enlistment in the Airforce Jan. 3, 1951 was at home with his parents.
He is survived by his parents and three brothers, Duane, serving in the navy; Dean and Rodney at home. Also surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ohlendorf of Marcus, and Mrs. Ella Haack of Le Mars. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Aug. 5, 1952, page 1.
