Harry Jager, 71, Hawarden, died Jan. 22 at a Hawarden hospital. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in Trinity Lutheran Church at Hawarden. The Rev. O.F. Pittack officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden under direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Jager was born Aug. 12,1902, at rural Sioux Center, He married Willa Richardson Sept. 10,1923, at Orange City, and the couple had lived at Hawarden for the last 50 years. Mr. Jager was employed by the L.G. Everist Co. as a crane operator for 43 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include the widow; five sons, Barry Jr. of Bremerton, Wash., James of Huntsville, Ala., Gordon and.Robert, both of Hawarden, and Donald of Rock Valley; five daughters, Mrs. Ellis (Geneva) Tucker of Akron, Mrs. Donald,(Betty) Vipond of North Highland, Calif,, Mrs. Kenneth (Lois) Plueger of Rock.Valley, Mrs. Verle (Mary) Marienau and Mrs. Harlen (Ruth) Benda, both of Hawarden; two brothers, Al of Hawarden and Dick of Piqua, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie McPherson and Mrs. Tina Listen, both of Hawarden, and Mrs. Emma Tanner of Hayti, Mo.; 24 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
