Obituary. John Gaden.
John Gaden, 86, longtime Remsen resident, died Friday at Happy Siesta nursing home there.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen. Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate and burial will be in Remsen city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.
He was born March 17, 1884, at Westside and was married to Antoinette Cook in 1910 at Remsen. She died in 1940.
He was married to Lena Reinholdt in 1942 and the couple retired in 1943, moving to Remsen.
Survivors are his wife, Remsen; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Erichsen, Remsen, and Mrs. Fred DeRaleau, Titusville, Fla.; a son Jack of Waterloo; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Hanno and Mrs. Louisa Eichhorn, Remsen. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, July 13, 1970, page 7.
