Area Deaths. MRS. CATHERINE GALLES FUNERAL RITES HELD TODAY AT REMSEN.
Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Galles, 85, longtime resident of the Remsen vicinity who died Monday at Sacred Heart hospital were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church Remsen.
Rev. Paul Wuebben officiated. Burial was in city cemetery under the direction of the Moeller funeral home.
Mrs. Galles was born Nov. 19, 1876 at Wilkes-Barre Pa. She moved to the Remsen vicinity at the age of 9 with her parents.
She was married to Peter Galles. He died in 1917.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Theodore Treinen and Mrs. Frank Hewicker, both of Marcus. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, March 1, 1961, page 4.
