SUCCUMBS TO PNEUMONIA. ALBERT FROMME, PLYMOUTH SOLDIER, DIES AT CAMP.
Albert Fromme, a Plymouth county soldier, died at Camp Dodge, Des Moines, on Monday from pneumonia and other complications. His father, Henry Fromme, went to Des Moines last Friday, called there by the illness of his son, and on Sunday his mother, brother and sister were called to his bedside and were with him when the end came.
Fromme was called to service this year and was attached to the base hospital corps at Camp Dodge. He was twenty-eight years of age and had lived all his life in Plymouth county. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fromme, of Henry township. Besides his parents he leaves one brother, Will A. Fromme, and a sister, Mrs. John Witt, also living in Henry township.
The remains were brought from Camp Dodge to his home and the funeral as held yesterday afternoon at St. Paul’s Evangelical church in Remsen. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, April 5, 1918, page 1.
