Howard G. Pike, 85, formerly of 3236 Idelwood St., Sioux City, died Monday night (June 4,1973) at a Sioux City nursing home after a short illness. He had resided at the home the last three months.

Mr. Pike was born in Hancock Township, Plymouth County, Dec. 11, 1887. He attended schools in Plymouth County, and farmed near Westfield until 1946. He was a self-employed carpenter and painter for another 20 years in the Westfield area. In 1963 he moved to Sioux City and lived there since.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Grace Weber of Ames, and Mrs. Glennie Me Campbell of San Antonio, Tex.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Heaton-Westcott Funeral Home, Sioux City, with Rev. Russell Olson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church officiating. Burial was in Logan Park cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roy Poslewait, George Bray, John Taylor, Cyrus Knapp, Wurth Banks and Arden Banks.
