J. Peter Hoffman, 82, rural Westfield, died Saturday morning, May 12, 1973 at the Akron Hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services were Tuesday, May 15 at 1 p.m. at the W. Harry Christy Morningside funeral home, Sioux City, with Rev. Willard M. Galloway of the Westlawn Presbyterian church officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were William French, Roy Postlewait, Richard Parrish, Belmer Banks, William Zemanek and Robert Taylor.

Mr. Hoffman was born May 17, 1890, in Elkhorn Township, Woodbury County. He spent most of his life in the Hinton and Westfield areas farming. He was baptized in the Lutheran church.

Survivors are three brothers, Henry of Kingsley, George of Sioux City and Ernest of Dakota City, Nebr..
