Rosary was recited Tuesday, May 22, for long-time Casper, Wyo. resident V.L. (Charlie) Lamoureux, 72, Lamoureux, who resided at 734 East Third in Casper, died Sunday, May 20 at the Natrona County Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Oct. 9, 1900, at Akron, Iowa, and came to Wyoming in 1922, returning to Akron in 1925. On Nov. 16, 1925 he married Izetta Kelly at Akron, and the couple moved to Shoshoni in 1926. In 1934 they moved to Casper, where Lamoureux owned and operated the Wyoming Cafe and Riley's Bar until his retirement in 1961. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, an honorary lifetime member of the Casper Knights of Columbus, and a member of the BPOE Lodge No. 1353 in Casper.

He is survived by his widows three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Camille) Rapp, Mrs. J. O. (Colette) Kennedy, and Colleen Lamoureux, all of Casper; one son, Kelly, of Casper; three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Other survivors include seven brothers, Walter of Casper, Loyd of Sioux City, Iowa, Milford of Salix, Iowa, William of Ruble, Iowa, and Leonard, Clifford and Lovoy, all of Akron, Iowa; and three sisters, Mrs. Madolin Bay of Rock Valley, and Mrs. Ella Gant and Mrs. Edna Latham, both of Akron.

He was preceded in death by one son, one brother, and one grandson.

A concelebrated Mass of the Ressurection was offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Casper. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Akron relatives who attended the services at Casper last Tuesday were: Mrs. Edna Latham, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lamoureux, Mrs. Ella Gant, William Lamoureux and Lavoy Lamoureux.
