Louis F. Willms
Louis F. Willms, 48, Yankton, S.D., died Friday, January 26,1973 at a hospital in Sioux Falls after a brief illness.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, January 29 at the Peace Lutheran church in Alcester. Rev. W. A. Bunkowske officiated and burial was in the church cemetery, with Wass Funeral Home of Alcester in charge. Military rites were conducted at graveside by the Alcester post of VFW.
Mr. Willms was born February 1,1924, at Akron. He moved with his parents to Alcester in 1940. He served in the army during World War II. After his discharge he farmed near Alcester. He married Alyce Andal January 13, 1952, in Centerville. They lived in Beresford until 1967, and moved to Yankton.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Gary Lee at home; his mother, Mrs. Adele Willms of Alcester; a brother, Howard of Sheldon; and three sisters Mrs. Mildred Meske of Akron, Mrs. Ida Muth of Hawarden and Mrs. Velma Groon of Alcester.
