Dr. Fayette B. Ross, 85, of 1428 La Habra Drive, Lake San Marcos, California, died recently at his home.

Born July 19, 1887 in Akron, Iowa, he had lived in Lake San Marcos for nine years, moving from Whittier. He was a physician and surgeon, practicing in Kalispell, Mont., for 34 years, before his retirement. Dr. Ross was a 50-year fellow of the American College of Surgeons; a 50-year of the International College of Surgeons; a 55-year member of Kalispell Lodge 43, F&AM, and a 55-year member of Algeria Shrine at Helena, Mont. He was graduated from Vermillion College in South Dakota, the University of Chicago and the Rush Medical College in New York.

A service was held at Allen Brothers Mortuary Chapel. Officers of Vista Lodge 687, F&AM officiated. Private entombment was at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Oceanside.

Surviving are his wife, Marie; one brother, Hobart Ross, Tyler, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Murel Stoland, Lawrence, Kansas, and Miss Alta Ross.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyson Ross, one sister, Mrs. Elva Youngstrom and two brothers Arden and Donald.
