Russell 0. Ross, 73, formerly of Akron, died Sunday (September 10, 1972) at the Veteran Administration Hospital, Grand Island, Nebr.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Butler-Volland Funeral Home, Hastings, Nebr. Graveside services by Freedom Masonic Lodge 434 AF&AM of Akron were on Thursday, September 14, at 10:30 a.m. at the Akron cemetery.

Mr.. Ross was born May 17, 1899, at Akron. He moved to Spencer and to Hastings in 1957. He married Judith Corgstad. Mr. Ross was a retired owner of a dry cleaning and laundry plant at Hastings. He was a veteran of world war 1, member of First St. Paul Lutheran church, Hastings, and 50-year member of Freedom Lodge.

Survivors are m's wife; a daughter, Mrs. Rufus Unruh of Concord, Calif.; two sons, Robert of Danbury, Conn., and Wallace of Snoqualmie, Wash.; his mother, Mrs. Mae Ross of Akron; a sister, Mrs. Alfred Claeys of Houston, Tex., a brother, Leslie Ross of Omaha and nine grandchildren.
