Funeral services for William Schneider, age 71, formerly of Akron, were held Saturday, September 22, at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron, Rev. Larry Vallery officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Honorary pall bearers were: Paul Friske, Herb Frerichs, Harvey Girard, Arden Banks, Art Friske, Leonard Klemme, Harry Johnson and Wurth Banks.

Active bearers were Ronnie Synder, Jerry Johnson, Tom Schneider, Darrell Eastern, Jim Easton and Stan Lake.

Mr. Schneider died September 20, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born May 29,1901 at Hinton. On November 21, 1925 he married Catherine Easton. They farmed in the Akron area, moving to Phoenix in 1963.

Survivors are his wife, daughters, Mrs. Darwin Johnson of Akron, Mrs. Claude. Burris of Phoenix, Mrs. Donna Andresen of Phoenix, Mrs. Herschel Berner of Merrill; son Milton of Akron; brother. James Snyder of Mt Vernon, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
