Vincent V. Hughes, 38, route 1, Westfield, died Sunday (August 27, 1972) at a Sioux City hospital of injuries he received August 16 in a one car crash south of Elk Point on interstate 29.

Mr. Hughes was born February 16,1934, at Sioux City, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hughes of Westfield. He worked in a machine shop at Philip, S.D., and was formerly employed at Metz Bakery and Tower construction, Sioux City. He was a veteran of the Korean war, and a member of the Glendale Baptist Church at Sioux City and Holscher Post 186 at Akron.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hughes, route 1, Westfield; two daughters, Helen Eugenia Hughes of Sioux City and Teresa Lailani Hughes of Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Charles of Westfield; a sister, Mrs. Duwayne (Beverly) Waddell of Westfield and his grandfather, Charles Keairnes of Westfield.
