Mrs. Gust Oakes, formerly of Akron, died August 18, at Hawthorne, Calif., after a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled this morning (Thursday) at the Schroeder Funeral Home, Rev. David Roy officiating, burial in South St. Paul Cemetery, rural Elk Point

The former Millie Olson, she was born April 23, 1890 in Union County. She was a longtime resident of Akron and also resided at Elk Point and Sioux City before moving to California about five years ago.

Survivors are sons, Milo James and Eldean; daughters, Mrs. Mildred Stoner and Miss Marion Oakes, all reside in California; a sister, Mrs. Anna Vindahl of Akron; and several grandchildren.
