Mrs. Samuel W. Cousins, 74, Jefferson, died Saturday, May 27,1972, at the Akron, Iowa, hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Cousins, the former Laura R. Loker, was born December 9, 1897 at Richmond, Mo. She moved to a farm near Jefferson with her parents at age 14 and lived there the rest of her life. She was married to George Kneebone, May 6, 1918 at Jefferson. Mr. Kneebone died February 22,1938. She was married to Lee Wynn April 23, 1940 at Fender, Nebr. She was married to Mr. Cousins September 24,1966.

Mrs. Cousins was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Truth Rebekah Lodge 129, and the Order of Eastern Star, all at Elk Point.

Survivors include the widower; her mother, Mrs. Bertha Loker of Jefferson; two sons, Clarence and George Kneebone, both of Jefferson; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Madonna) Yates of Westfield, Iowa, Mrs. Otis (Blanche) Derochie of Jefferson, and Mrs. Gilbert (Betty Lou) Wheelock of Sioux City; two brothers, Leonard of Jefferson, and Donald of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Addie) Luchsinger and Mrs. Mary McClimans, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Francis (Grace) Nelson of Sergeant Bluff; 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
