On February 10, 1931, she was united in marriage to J. Fred Dirks, at a wedding service in St Paul's Lutheran Church, Des Moines, Iowa. The Rev. Louis G. Krebs officiated. She became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Akron, through Confirmation September 19,1937. C. Everett Johnson was the student serving this church at that time.
