Otto Albert Osterbuhr, 93, longtime Brunsville area resident, died Thursday, December 30,. at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars, after an illness of several months. He had been hospitalized 10 days. He was a retired farmer and railroad worker. He had farmed in Grant Township until moving to Brunsville in 1943. Funeral services were Saturday, January 1, 1972, at 2 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran church, Grant Township, with Rev. Robert Reitz officiating. Burial was in Christ Lutheran Cemetery under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home. A prayer service was held Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Osterbuhr was born April 26,1878, in Grant Township, Plymouth county, a son of the late Okke and Maria Hartmann Osterbuhr. He and Frances Margaret Oltmanns were married December 5, 1899, in Plymouth county. Mr. Osterbuhr was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Grant township.
He was preceded in death by his wife on July 3, 1950; three brothers, Gert, William and Fred, and by two sisters, Elizabeth and Anna.
Survivors are two sons, Albert of Brunsville and John of rural Le Mars; two daughters, Mrs. Otto (Reaka)- Oltmanns of rural Le Mars Mrs. R. E. (Emma) Waterbury, of Akron; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
