William M. Anderson, age 98, a former resident of Akron died December 17 following surgery for a hip fracture.

Funeral services were conducted in Van Nuys by Rev; Elmer Klenk of First Lutheran Church with burial at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills.

Mr. Anderson was born in Union County, South Dakota. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Gustof Anderson. He and Mrs. Anderson farmed near Akron, Iowa until 1947 when he retired and they moved to Van Nuys, Calif.

He is survived by his wife Nettie, daughter, Evelyn and a son, Alvin of Sherman Oaks, Calif., 2 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren.
