DEATH COMES TO MRS. H. BECKMAN FRIDAY MORNING
Last Rites Are Held Monday Morning For Akron Resident
Mrs. Herman Beckman died on Friday morning, August 25, 1967, at University Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa, after a brief illness. She was 46 years of age.
Charlene Beckman was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rex Pollock. She was born at Akron, Iowa, June 11, 1921, and lived' most of her life at Akron.. On May 14, 19&6, she was united in marriage to Herman Beckman, of Akron, in LuVerne, Minnesota.
She was a member, of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Lutheran. Church Women Also, a member of the Hoscheler Post American. Legion Auxiliary. She had: served as an assistant den mother of the Cub Scouts. Being of cheerful nature, she will be sorely missed by her family, relatives, and friends at her untimely passing.
She leaves to Mourn, her passing her husband, Herman; four sons, James of Enid, Oklahoma; Douglas, serving: with the U. S. Navy at Brunswich, Maine; amid William and Walter at home. Her step-father, J. M. Karch, of Sioux City; two brothers, Robert Pollock, of Akron; and Alden Pollock, of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Dirks and Mm. Herbert Woudenberg, of Akron. Also, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service in her memory was held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday, August 28, Pastor Harris Hostager officiated Pallbearers were Maury Woudenberg, Steve Pollock, Rich Pollock, Sam Philips, Dwight Calhoon and Randy Calhoon. The hymns, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "My Faith Looks' Up to Thee," were sung by the congregation. Mrs. Glen Gabel was organist.

Lafayette, Indiana; .Mrs. Dennis Pauling Iowa City, Iowa; Mrs. Dick Goos, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mrs. James Matthe and Jean of Nevada, Iowa; Mrs. Marvin Fenshe, Mrs. Orville Silvrants and Mr. C. W. Knorr, of Brewster, Minn.; Mrs. Elvin Knorr, Tampa, Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hartman, Schuyler, Nebr.; Mrs. and Mrs. Earl Stevens, Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Downing, and Mr. J. M. Karch, all of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Harman, Mrs. Annie Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Berg, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Green, and Mr. and Mrs. Art Peterson, all of Alcester, S. D.
