Mrs. Carl W. Samuelson, age 81, died August 14 at Holy Family Hospital at, Esterville, Iowa. Funeral services were held August 17 at Trinity Lutheran Church, burial at Marcus, Iowa.

Mary Ethel Johnson Samuel son was born June 29, 1890 at Opheim, HI. On June 22, 1909 she was married to Rev. Carl Samuelson at Fullerton, ND. The couple served churches in North Dakota, Minnesota, California and Iowa, including living several years in Akron and residing in Marcus for 26 years, retiring in 1956. Mr. Samuelson died in February, 1963. Mrs. Samuelson moved to Esterville in 1967.

Survivors are: one son, Dr. Chester L, Samuelson of Findlay, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Foley of Binghamton, N.Y. and*Mrs. Lee Barnes of Esterville, Iowa; four brothers and six sisters, and eight grandchildren.
