Mrs. John S. Eden, age 92, Alcester, S. Dak., died August 4 at the Alcester Nursing Home. Funeral services were held August 7 at the Peace Lutheran Church, the Rev. Walter Bunkowski officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery south of Alcester.

The former Anna Johanna Johnson, was born August 1,1878, Oldorf, Germany. She came to the United States at the age of 11. On March 4,1898 she was married to John S. Eden of Akron, Iowa. Mr. Eden died
in December 1949 at Alcester.

Her survivors are: daughters, Miss Gertrude Eden, Mrs. John (Johanna) De Wall, Mrs. George (Mabel) DeWall, all of Alcester, Mrs. Albert (Pearl) Lewison of Beresford; 15 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
