Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Thomas, were held at 2 p.m. July 27 at Boone, Iowa with the Rev. Robert Allen of the United Methodist Church conducting the services in the O.E.S. Home Chapel. The organist was Mrs. Caroline Atkinson who resides at the home.

Carrie Stoel was born March 6, 1897 to Oscar and Mattie Stoel longtime residents of Akron, Iowa. She lived in Akron and attended the public schools. In 1945 she was united in marriage with George Thomas
of Sioux City, Iowa who preceded her in death in 1961. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.

She is survived by one brother Paul, and two nieces, Mrs. Joanne Heeren and Mrs. Evonne DeVinney. In November 1968 Mrs. Thomas entered the Eastern Star Masonic Home at Boone, Iowa and continued to make her home there until her death, after a short illness, on July 23, 1970.
