Funeral services were held August 3 at St. John American Lutheran church for Mrs. Rank Oetken, age 82 of Le Mars, Iowa, Reverend Arnold Imbrock officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery at Craig, Iowa.

Mrs. Oetken died July 31 at the Le Mars hospital.

She was born May 1, 1888 in Grant Township, rural Le Mars, and was a lifelong area resident. The former Minnie Ranken, she was married in Grant township.

Survivors are: Sons George and Elmer of Merrill, Harry and Earl of Akron; daughters Mrs. Rose Muth of Merrill, Mrs. Mildred Rozell of Le Mars, Mrs. Irene Pralle of Rock Rapids, Mrs. Darlene Lange of Paullina; 24 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Ranken of Sioux City; sisters Mrs. Mary Gerritts, Mrs. Anna Gerritts and Mrs. Bertha Voss, all of Le Mars.
