Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Henrich of Akron were notified Friday that their son, S. Sgt. Myllin Gerald Henrich, 24, was killed in action June 23 In Cambodia.

Sgt. Henrich was serving with Troop K, Third Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, U.S. Army. He entered the army Nov. 21,1968. He went to Southeast Asia in 1969 where he served In South Vietnam
and Cambodia.

Sgt. Henrich was born March 18,1946 at Akron. He was graduated from Akron High School in 1964. He attended one year at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion and three years at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in 1968.

Survivors in addition to the parents include three sisters, Mrs. Norman (Mary) Jewel of Washington, D.C.; Anita and Rochelle, both at home; three brothers, Pfc. Daniel Henrich, stationed at Ft. Wainwright,
Fairbanks, Alaska; W. O.Timothy Henrich, stationed at Ft. Ruker in Alabama; and Reed at home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Henrich of Akron; and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gillam of Carthage, S.D.

Funeral services for SSgt.Myllin Gerald Henrich, 24, Akron, who was killed in action June 23 in Cambodia were held Saturday, July 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Akron. Rev. John Schissel officiated and burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder funeral home. Catholic Daughters of America rosary was said at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and parish rosary was at 8 p.m. The body arrived in Akron Thursday night with an escort, provided by Marc Paswewalk.

Sgt. Henrich was born March 18, 1946, at Akron, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Henrich. He graduated from Akron high school in 1964.
