Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon for Mrs. John Miniets, age 84, at St. John Lutheran Church at Craig, Iowa, with Rev. Orval Friedrich officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Mauer Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Harvey Ludwigs, Vernon Ludwigs, Henry D. Ludwigs, John Tammen, George Popken and William Varenhorst.

Mrs. Miniets, the former Helena M. Ludwigs was born December 5, 1885 in Grant township, Plymouth County, daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Hartmann) Ludwigs. She was married September 27,
1906. She and her husband farmed in Grant and Portland townships before moving to Craig in 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966, six brothers and three sisters.

Survivors are a son, John of rural Akron; a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Anna) Boisen of Holland, Minn.; two grandchildren, Dennis Miniets and Shirley Miersma and one great-granddaughter, Michelle Miersma.
