Frank Trautt, a former Akron, Iowa business man, died in Tucson, Arizona, Tuesday January 27 of a heart attack, after a short illness.

He was born August 10th, 1887 at O'Neill, Nebraska. He moved to Iowa with his parents, where he farmed for a short time in the Akron vicinity. He married Mary (May) Gleason January 26,1910. She died in 1943. Mr. Trautt was engaged in the barber business with his brother Jim, in Trautt’s Barber Shop for many years. He retired in 1953 and moved to Tucson, Arizona.

Survivors are sons Fay, Raymond, and Leo all of Tucson; daughters, Mrs. James (Evelyn) Houlton and Mrs. Leo (Ella) Houlton both of Sioux City, Iowa; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James of Akron and Tom of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Mohrmann of Winnebago, Nebraska and Mrs. Frances Strohbehm of Los Angeles, California.

Father Jerome Coyle officiated at the requiem mass at St. Patrick's church. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery at Akron. A funeral mass was also said in Tucson, Arizona on January 29th at St. Francis Mission Church. Casket bearers were grandsons: Larry, John, Don and Jerry Houlton, Terry Trautt and Terry Martin.

Funeral arrangements and burial were conducted by the Ron Schroeder Funeral Home.
