NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS. REMSEN. (From the Bell.)
A large concourse of friends joined last Wednesday in the funeral procession of the six-year old daughter of farmer George Beck. The little girl died August 4th after a long illness from heart disease. – Le Mars Sentinel, Tuesday, Aug. 12, 1890, page 3.

Note: Little Laura Beck is buried in Block 2 West, Lot 140 of the Remsen Cemetery. The owner of the lot is George Beck. He purchased the lot in 1890. Laura was born June 29, 1884 and died August 14, 1890 according to the gravestone. She was 6 years, 1 month and 16 days old and the daughter of G.A. L and M. Beck.
