FRED “PETE” BOCK

LE MARS, Iowa—Fred “Pete” Bock, 77, of LeMars, lifetime Plymouth County resident, died Wednesday in a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars with the Rev. H. H. Schauland officiating. Burial will be in Hill-Side Cemetery in Merrill with military graveside services conducted by Wasmer Post 241 American Legion. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mr. Bock was born Sept. 30, 1909, in Kingsley. He married Evelyn Heiden on Aug. 21, 1935, in Adaville and they made their home in the LeMars area. He served with the U.S. Army in the European and Pacific theaters during World War II. He later was owner and operator of heavy equipment and did terrace work for many years.

He was a life member of Wasmer Post 241 American Legion.

Survivors include his wife; and three brothers, Richard and Louis, both of Sioux City, and Henry of Glenwood.
