FRANCES AHERN

LE MARS, Iowa—Frances Ahern, 98, of Lakewood, Colo., formerly of LeMars, died Wednesday in a nursing home in Lakewood.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Calvary Cemetery in LeMars. The Rev. George McFadden will officiate. Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of LeMars is in charge.

Mrs. Ahern, the former Frances Hoefer, was born Jan. 22, 1888, in Streator, Ill. She married James Ahern. He preceded her in death.

She came to the LeMars area in the early 1930s and moved to Denver to lived with her daughter, Dorothy Coppock, in 1963.

Survivors include a brother Robert, of Sioux City; a sister, Dorothy Clarke of Tucson, Ariz.; a granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
