The Remsen bakery, heretofore operated by Mr. Louis Pfaff, has been sold to Mr. William Stolz, who comes here from Omaha and who took possession Thursday, August 14. Mr. Pfaff goes to Sioux City to assist his father who is in business there. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Aug 19, 1902, page 1.

William Stolz died at his home in Remsen of lung disease at 11:50 a.m. Friday, April 7 at the age of forty years three months and eighteen days. Deceased was born in Kandern Baden, Erurope and came to the United States about fifteen years ago. He located first in Cincinnati, went later to Omaha and in June, 1902, bought the Remsen bakery and has made this place his home. During his short life here he was successful in business because he was a careful and obliging man making friends every day. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, April 18, 1905, page 3.
