Miss Emma Kammeier, the sixteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kammeier, died last night at the city hospital. Miss Kammeier underwent an operation for appendicitis Saturday evening. The case had progressed so far that the doctors almost despaired of saving her life, shortly after the operation was begun. She rallied somewhat after the operation but only for a short time. This is a sad bereavement tor Mr. and Mrs. Kammeier and they have the deepest sympathy of the entire community.

A number of people from this neighborhood attended the funeral of Miss Emma Kammeier, of Liberty township, last Saturday.

Note: According to the tombstone, she was born on October 7, 1900 and died on September 30, 1915.
