Gustave Schlutter Remsen Farmer Taken by Death.
Funeral services were held in Christ Lutheran church Wednesday in Remsen for Gustave [Gustav] Schlutter, well known farmer.
Mr. Schlutter was born September 23, 1882, in Pomerania, Germany. He was married in 1908 at Wauwatosa, Wis., to Bertha Mews and a year later came to Remsen. He worked as a carpenter and then engaged in farming. He is survived by his wife, a son, Roy, on the home farm and his daughters, Mrs. Leona Zeising, Mrs. Violet Riser and Mrs. Wm Eubank of Sioux City and six grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Martha Kassen lives in Milwaukee. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, May 9, 1941, page 1.
