Peter Ossip [Osip], of Remsen, died at a local hospital on Saturday morning following an operation for appendicitis. He is survived by his wife and three young children. The remains were taken to Remsen for interment and the funeral held there. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Dec. 6, 1921, page 1.

Also –
A son was born to Mrs. Peter Ossip [Osip] of Remsen at the Sacred Heart hospital on Monday. Le Mars Globe-Post, Jan. 5, 1922.

Note: The last name is spelled Osip on the gravestone in the Remsen City Cemetery and in the 1920 U.S. Census.
