Gustave August Krekow, 69, died Saturday at the Sacred Heart hospital after a sickness of several years.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Moeller funeral home, Remsen, and 2:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran church, Remsen, with Rev. R.W. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in a Remsen cemetery.
Mr. Krekow was born January 31, 1884 in Tilden township, Cherokee county, Ia.
In February 1907, he was united in marriage with Ellen Klingbeil.
He farmed south of Remsen from 1919 to 1946 when he retired and moved to Remsen.
Survivors are widow Ella; a son William; a brother, five sisters and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Otto. – Le Mars Globe-Post, Sep. 28, 1953, page 8.
