Life’s end. JOHN WITT RITES HELD AT REMSEN.
Funeral services for John H. Witt, 78, were at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church in Remsen.
Rev. Paul Wuebben officiated. Burial was in the Remsen cemetery under the direction of the Moeller funeral home.
Mr. Witt died Saturday at Floyd Valley hospital after a long illness.
He was born Dec 20, 1888, on a farm south of Remsen. He married Mrs. Edna Fromme, Sept 19, 1916. They farmed south of Remsen until 1934 when they moved to the town. She died Jan. 10, 1967.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Arnold Erichsen, and one brother, Adolph (R.C.), both of Remsen, and two grandchildren. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Sept. 18, 1967, page 7.
