LeMars after a lengthy illness. He had been at the hospital for two weeks.

Mr. Hawkins was a retired farmer and lived in Plymouth county with the
exception of five years in Woodbury county.

Harry Samuel Hawkins was born Aug. 23, 1899, near Kingsley to George and

was very much interested in the work on the farm and he was never ready to
retire.

Mr. Hawkins was a member of the Adaville church since 1920 and served many
years on the church board of trustees. Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins celebrated
their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1972.

Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, Timothy in
1959 and Joel in 1971, and a daughter-in-law, Harriet Hawkins, in 1975.

Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 6, at 1:30 p.m. at Adaville United
Methodist Church with Rev. J. Milton Kinney officiating. Burial will be in
Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.
