Ott, Henry E. 1900-1982
Henry E. Ott, 81, Remsen, Plymouth county native and lifelong resident died Monday (Feb. 1, 1982) at Happy Siesta nursing home following a long illness.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran church, Remsen, with Rev. Lee R. Mentink officiating. Burial will be at the Remsen city cemetery. Moeller funeral home, Remsen, is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.Henry Ott was born Aug. 12, 1900, in Plymouth county to Peter and Matilda (Sterh) Ott. He resided in the Remsen area his entire life.
He married Lillian Christophersen in 1929 at his parents’ home.
Mr. Ott was a retired farmer and carpenter. He worked for the Remsen Cemetery Assn. and was a bus driver for the Remsen schools for many years.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran church and held many offices in the church.
Survivors are his wife of Remsen; one daughter, Mrs. Richard M (Beverly) Hanson, Lincoln, Neb.; and one grandson, David.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son and four brothers, John, Carl, Albert and William. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, February 1, 1982, page 10
