Obituary. Otto Gruenefeldt
Funeral services for Otto Gruenefeldt, 82, Seattle, a former Remsen resident, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran church, Remsen.
Rev. Alfred Christensen will officiate and burial will be in the Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening.
Mr. Gruenefeldt died Saturday at his home in Seattle. He was born July 4, 1885 in Germany and came to the Remsen area in 1903 where he lived for 34 years before going to Seattle in 1937. He was a retired long shoreman. His wife is the former Madeline Bollinger.
Survivors are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Emory Thompson, The Dells, Ore.; a son Emline of California; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Fokken and Mrs. William Fokken, both of Kingsley; and four brothers, August and Henry in Germany, Carl, Neenah, Wis., and Fritz, Remsen. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, May 8, 1968, page 2
