LLOYD HERMAN

Funeral services for Lloyd Herman, 57, Lucas, S.D., son of Lester Herman,
Merrill, Iowa, were held Friday, Oct. 28, at St. John's Lutheran church,
Gregory, S.D.

Rev. Donald Matthiessen of Winner officiated and burial was in the I.O.O.F.
cemetery with Clausen funeral home of Burke in charge of arrangements.

Lloyd Herman died Oct. 25, 1977, at the Gregory, S.D., hospital after a
lingering illness. Lloyd Edwin Herman was born to Lester and Lela Herman,
June 2, 1920, at Lucas, where he lived his entire life. He married Violet
Kerner, May 24, 1954. His mother preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Violet; his father, Lester and wife, Verna of
Merrill; two sisters, Mrs. Duane (Cleone) Pepper of Bonesteel, S.D. and Mrs.
Ben (Bernice) Turgeon of Butte, Neb.; two stepsisters, Mrs. Albert (Leona)
Thorpe, LeMars and Mrs. Alex (Lila) Pelelo of Merrill and a step-brother,
Leland Fagan, Sioux City.

Attending services from here were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Herman, Mr. and Mrs.
Harvey Herman, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Varenhorst, Mrs. Milton Atkinson and Mrs.
Alex Pelelo of Merrill. Attending from LeMars were Mrs. Albert Thorpe, Mrs.
Donald Bohlken, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Herman and Mrs. Gladys Mroczkowski
