WALTER JENNINGS

Walter Jennings, 86, Ninth Ave. SW, died early Friday (Nov. 10, 1972) at the
Happy Siesta Retirement Home at Remsen after an illness of several months.
A retired laborer, Mr. Jennings was a lifelong resident of LeMars, Iowa.

Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of the
Nazerene, LeMars, with Rev. Brandt Freeburg officiating.

Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer
Funeral Home, LeMars.

Mr. Jennings was born Aug. 31, 1886, in LeMars, the son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. John Jennings. He and Esther A. Taylor were married Jan. 28, 1914, in
LeMars.

Mr. Jennings was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 7, 1971, his parents, two
infant daughters and a son, Donald.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Leona) Strong of Sioux City; three
sons, Charles and Robert both of LeMars and Walter of Sedalia, Mo.; a
brother, Roy of LeMars, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
