Le Ann (Peters) Rolling, 56, of Le Mars passed away Saturday April 30, 2011 at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City. She was stricken on Friday at her home with an apparent brain aneurysm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Le Mars, with Reverend Richard Ball officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Carlsen – Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars, where there will be a rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Vigil Wake Service at 7:00 p.m.

The former Le Ann Faye Peters was born October 16, 1954 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Leroy and Janice (Carter) Peters. She moved to Le Mars as a young girl with her family, graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1972 and attended Westmar College in Le Mars. Le Ann married Larry Rolling on April 24, 1976 at Christ Lutheran Church in Remsen, IA. The couple lived their entire married lives in the Le Mars area.

Le Ann was a very caring person and always acknowledged people’s birthdays, any holidays, anniversaries, etc., by sending out cards. She was also very crafty and enjoyed knitting, bead work, making Christmas ornaments, etc.

Survivors include her husband Larry Rolling of Le Mars; two sons: Josh Rolling and his special friend Erin McCain of Le Mars, and Justin Rolling and his wife Nicki of Le Mars; two grandchildren: Austin and Taylor Rolling of Le Mars; her parents, Leroy and Janice Peters of Electra, TX; seven sisters and brothers: Elizabeth Peters of Vernon, TX, Donald (Jeannete) Peters of Benbrook, TX, Deanna Peters of Tacoma, WA, Bruce (Jill) Peters of Le Mars, Barb (Walt) Hestand of Waverly, TN, Tammy Shank of Springfield, OH, and Terry (Robin) Peters of Benbrook, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law: Marilyn and Marvin Maly of Onawa, IA, Lyle Schuetz of Alton, IA, Marie Benedix of Pierson, IA, Jo Ann and Mark Sudtelgte of Remsen, IA, Russell and Pam Rolling of Oyens, IA, Jim Rolling of Glenwood, IA, Kirk Rolling of Le Mars, Glenn and Julie Rolling of Hinton, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, LeRoy and Maxine Rolling; grandparents: Herman and Mildred Peters, and Pearl and Helen Denney; two brothers-in-law: Robert Rolling and Robert Benedix; and a sister-in-law Janice Schuetz.
