Leslie R. McCorkell
Leslie R. McCorkell, 95, Sioux City, died Sunday (Jan. 29, 1989) at his home after a long illness. Services were held at 10:30 Wednesday in the Berkemier funeral home chapel in Sioux City. Rev. Rudy Oudheusden and Rev. Ron Spears officiated. Burial was in Logan Park cemetery, with graveside services conducted by D.A.V . chapter 54 of Sioux City.

Mr. McCorkell was born July 24, 1893, at Akron, to Joseph and Ida Keech McCorkell. He served in the U.S. navy during World War I. Survivors include his wife, Clara; a son, Donald; five daughters, Barbara, Marjorie, Kathy, Rosalee and Dawn; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Claire and Perry, and one sister, Ruby Herzig.
