John Loutsch, 88, pioneer of Remsen vicinity, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nick Ruba.

He was born March 23, 1851, in Schueichertal, Luxemburg, Europe, and came to Iowa when a youth and to Remsen in 1879. He was a successful
farmer for years before retiring to live in Remsen.

He is survived by his children
who are Mrs. J. P. Schroeder, Dominic, Mrs. Nicholas Ruba, John, Michael, Emil and Andrew, all of Remsen.

The funeral will be held this Friday morning in St. Mary's church in Remsen. Pall bearers will be six grandsons: Irvin Ruba, Elmer Loutsch, John Loutsch, Jr., John Ritz, Jr., Dominic Schroeder and Vernon Schroeder.
