WOOD—Monday, March 23, 1891, at his home in Elgin township, of apoplexyFrederick A. Wood, aged forty-nine years.
The death of Mr. Wood deprives the neighborhood and county of one of its best citizens. He had been complaining for two or three days with trouble in his head and on Monday morning went out to work at some improvements to his home. His daughter advised him not to go to work but he would proceed and a little after ten o'clock he fell down in a faint. Dr. Richey was immediately sent for but found on his arrival that nothing could save him. Mr. Wood leaves four children, two daughters and two sons to regret his death. His brothers K. 0. Wood, of Hawarden; Theo. Wood, of Batavia, Ill.,have been telegraphed for to attend the funeral.
Mr. Wood has been known as an honest straight-forward citizen of Plymouth county for
many years, and the regret among neighbors and all his business acquaintances is heartfelt and general. The funeral services will take place at the Congregational church in this city Thursday, March 26th. at 1:30 o'clock,
